The YZ250FX is right at home racing GNCCs, Hare Scrambles, Best in the Desert and WORCs races. The suspension, fuel injection, clutch and engine character have all been carefully tuned to provide the best experience when the riding gets rough and rugged. The YZ250FX is a pure bred off-road race bike. All it needs is fuel and a rider to put it on the top of the podium where it belongs.

This revolutionary rearward slanted 250cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC 4-stroke with 4 titanium valves is based on the YZ250F, add in a sixth gear and wide ratio transmission, among other modifications, makes it an “out-of-the-box” cross country competition machine.
The YZ250FX benefits from a refined hydro-formed bilateral beam frame constructed from ten different types of forged, cast and extruded aluminium parts.Compared to the 2016 design, the 2017 frame is around 12mm wider in the area behind the swingarm pivot point, and this increased torsional rigidity ensures a higher degree of handling stability.
The exhaust system is based on the current YZ250F, combined with fuel injection, this contributes to mass centralisation and outstanding off-road performance. The YZ250FX is the first YZ to feature electric start which helps reduce rider fatigue.
Industry leading KYB air/oil separation Speed Sensitive System forks and a KYB rear shock suspension with settings designed specifically for cross country racing.
